HFV Colour Me:

The original HFV Horse Face Veils:
The areas of the horses face which is prone to sunburn, rain scald & insect bites is on the whirl (or star),
down the blaze & the highly sensitive muzzle. The Horse Face Veil (HFV) will protect these areas which can
become blistery, scabby & even lead to infection & CANCER. HFV's have tested by Animal Communicators
& Behaviourists, Natural Horsemanship Trainers, various Vets & manufactures. The veils trialled & tested
on various horses around Australia with great feedback.
The Horse Face Veil (HFV) with the following criteria:
- Made out of thick 96% UV blocking commercial shade cloth material – not plastic!!!!!
- This material will not curl or fall into the nostrils like cotton does.
- Has 3 areas of binding underneath so it doesn’t rub or rest directly on the face.
- Soft seatbelt like webbing for binding, its soft and it lasts.
- Comes only in one colour as this is the best colour for its purpose.
- The Velcro straps are loose under the throat, preventing long term skeletal &
pressure points ie esophageus, lymph nodes behind ears & salivary glands.
- Padding behind the ears.
- Dries quickly when wet ie drinking.
- Protects from rain scald on the face.
- Keeps MEDICAL creams on longer and cleaner on the face, great for facial injuries.
- The muzzle strap has elastic inserted so the horse can stretch & yawn.
- Fly Veils are only BLACK MESH as all other colours are glarey or hard to see out of.
- Eye Veil is for horses that don’t like to cover their eyes but need shade from the sun (pink eyes).

Sizing & Attaching:
Before ordering, you may like to measure the length of your horses face from the Poll (where the halter /bridle would sit) down to the bottom of his muzzle. PLEASE SEE THE "SIZING & INFO" TAB FOR MEASUREMENTS.
For RAIN SCALD AND INJURIES:
The veil is great for protecting from the rain but after long periods it will start to become wet underneath & will have to be taken off & changed over to your dry spare. Great for keepig medical creams on longer and cleaner for injuries to the face.
I don’t suggest feeding your night feeds with your horses wearing it as it will get very dirty!
DISCLAIMER: This veil may not suit your horse! This veil will come off if caught. Your horse may take some time at getting use to it but most accept it straigh away.Halters are not good to keep on your horse, but you know your horse. Please be responsible when using the veils.
HFV Rugs :
All my rugs are based on the same pattern. This pattern is; total coverage from insect bites including longer drops and 3 belly straps to cover belly when done up and large tail flaps. All Cotton (no polyester to burn your horse!). Satin for mane, shoulders with large “T” wither padding. Rugs sit OVER shoulders. Head of the Hoods consist of elastic jaw so they can fully yawn and stretch. Quality joinings and fittings, Dog Clips and removable leg straps. Hoodys and Combos have a longer Neck for grazing, 3 belly straps. They do not move!!!
